BIO

Big Johns roots date all the way back to the 70’s in Cincinnati.  A true Bengals fan, Big John went into the Marine Corps in 1989 deploying to Kuwait and Somalia for the Iraq War.  After finishing up his Marine Corps enlistment Big John started his career in the music industry in a pretty non traditional way.

On May 28, 1998 Big John’s career in the music industry began while hanging backstage with some friends at a RATT concert in Cleveland. Bobby Blotzer and Stephen Pearcy of RATT offered John a ride back to the hotel for an after party. Not realizing that tours have multiple busses Big John got on the crew bus instead of the band bus and ended up in Detroit. By the time the band got there Big John had already made friends with the crew and RATT offered him a job on the spot.

From there Big John went on tour with Saliva, Sum 41 and American Hi Fi in 2001 and also Nickleback and Fuel on their European Tour with 3 Doors Down and Saliva.  In 2002 Big John went on tour with Poison. Alternating between Poison and Kid Rock in 03 and 04 he then joined Bret Michaels on his solo tour in 2006.  In the fall of 2006 John went out on Bryan Setzer ‘s Christmas tour and then was immediately back with Bret at the start of 2007 where he remains today.

Even though Big John enjoys being on the road, seeing all of the fans and living a hectic lifestyle, once his daughter Clara was born in 2006 something had to change.  John spends every moment he can with Clara.  Life on the road has taken on a new meaning where there is less partying and more working.

As Bret Michaels right hand man, Big John has been a big part of VH1's Rock of Love, and a fan favorite when out on the road. He is available for hosting appearences, after show parties, and meet and greets.
